Stop the Cleanfill Action Group is a sub committee of the Wainui Environmental Protection Society” (WEPS), formed in 1998 with the objective to maintain the environments rural character and special nature of the Wainui area.

In embarking on this Appeal process two things are particularly important to us:
1. Action Group Membership
It is important that this Committee can continue to demonstrate strong community
support for STCAG by having a continuing strong membership base. Over the past two
years, many people made donations and joined this Group and we ask that you renew
your membership for this year or, if you haven’t already, join the group.
We represent a significant number of affected and concerned residents in the wider community. Numbers count!!
2. Financial Support
We ask you to contribute again to the fighting fund, to help protect your own properties
and the community from this proposed cleanfill. If many give a modest amount each then
we will be able to continue the fight without the burden continuing to fall on a few locals
only.
Compared to the impact on our property values alone, and not to mention the traffic,
visual and noise issues for the area, a modest contribution is a wise investment.
We appreciate your contribution and support. Don’t forget this is not for any particular
individual but for the whole community. If you have any questions or wish to discuss the
issues further please contact any member of the committee. We would also welcome
expressions of interest for new members to join the committee.
